KATE CLAUSE…. (BASS & VOCALS)

KC is our new colleague and is originally from Paris,. Now installed in the North-West of the Var. She is also one half of the duo GOOD 2 GO with dave and is part of an all-female band called Les Poulettes.

KC est nôtre nouvelle collègue et est originaire de Paris. Elle s’est installé dans le Nord-Ouest du Var. Elle est également la moitié du duo GOOD 2 GO avec Dave et fait partie aussi du groupe tout féminin “LES POULETTES.

JEAN-BAPTISTE CAR..(GUITAR/BVs).

JB is from the Auvergne region of France and he replaced Remi on 2nd guitar in the band until October 2021, when pressures of work obliged him to step back from the band.. MAYA SOUL was his first foray into band work and as such he progressed very well indeed. His contributions came at a time when the band was diversifying even more than usual and was instrumental in assuring tighter arrangements..

JB vient de l’Auvergne région de France et a remplacé Remi comme 2ème guitare dans le groupe jusqu’en Octobre 2021, puis les pressions du travail l’ont obligé de quitter le groupe.. MAYA SOUL était son tout premier groupe et il a progresse très rapidement. Son contribution aux morceaux a permis une forte amélioration des arrangements. 

GERARD THOMAZIK aka DGE BASS (BASS/BVs)

 

Gerard played as regular Bassman from 2018 to 2022. He is from Toulon and he has played in a lot of bands on the cote d’azur for decades, notably in AMAROK and DA BOOGIE POP.He’s also a go-to man to replace other bassman when groupes need him. Presently occupied with a band called June.

Gerard jouait régulièrement de 2018 à 2022. Il vient de Toulon et a joué dans beaucoup de groupes tels que AMAROK et DA BOOGIE POP. Il a rejoint le groupe en 2018. Il continue à être recherché en dépannage d’autres groupes quand ils ont besoin de remplaçant.Il est dorenavant membre du groupe June.

REMI DALMAS (GUITAR/BVs)

Remi Dalmas hails from Lyon, France and played from 2016 to 2020 as the other guitarist in the band.He plays Fender Stratocaster and Gibson Les Paul and has an acoustic duo with singer Sophie Fournier.. Remi is also an adept at music production and has a home studio where he produces local musicians..
Remi vient de Lyon, France et était  l’autre guitariste du groupe de 2016 à 2020. Il joue sur Fender Stratocaster et Gibson Les Paul.Il a un duo acoustique avec chanteuse Sophie Fournier. Remi est aussi adepte en studio comme producteur/ingénieur de son, dans son studio chez lui oú il produit les cds d’autres musiciens locaux.

D.C BLUES (HARMONICA)

D.C BLUES (real name Didier Cochet) toured with MR SKIN/KWENZINI in 2003. A real virtuoso of blues and rock harmonica,he has played with Luther Allison and Dr Feelgood. He lived in St Martin ,French West Indies until 2011, then moved back to Lyon where he continues to play professionally.

D.C Blues (vrai nom Didier Cochet) a tourné avec MR SKIN/KWENZINI en 2003. C’est un véritable virtuose de l’harmonica blues et rock,et il a joué avec Luther Allison et Dr Feelgood.Il habitait à St Martin,Antilles Françaises jusqu’à 2011 puis s’est repatrié sur Lyon où il continue à tourner professionellement

JEAN-LOUIS CERGNEUX (GUITAR/BV’s)

Jean-Louis Cergneux was a member of MR SKIN/KWENZINI for 2 years from 2002-2004. He was born in November 1957 and is a Swiss national. He lives in the Centre region of France.He no longer plays professionally.Jean-Louis was at the origin of the KWENZINI name along with Dave.

Jean-Louis Cergneux était un membre de MR SKIN/KWENZINI pendant 2 ans de 2002-2004.Il est né en Novembre 1957 et il est de nationalité Suisse.Il habite dans la region Centre de la France.Il ne joue plus professionellement.Jean-Louis était é¡ l’origine du nom KWENZINI avec Dave.

FRED POINT (PERCUSSION/BV’s)

Fred Point was a member of MR SKIN/KWENZINI during 2003. He supplemented the 3 core members occasionally on several other gigs. He was also a core member of ZAFRAMOON(see link). He lives in Bretagne, France with his 2 children. Fred no longer plays professionally, however is still musically active.

Fred Point était un membre de MR SKIN/KWENZINI pendant 2003.Il a aussi rejoint le groupe de temps en temps à plusieurs reprises. Il a eté un membre attitré de ZAFRAMOON (voir link). Il habite en Bretagne, France avec ses 2 enfants. Il continue é¡ faire de la musique,mais pas professionellement.

JEROME ARMANDIE (BASS/BV’s)

Jerome Armandie was a member of MR SKIN/KWENZINI in the years 2001-2 and 2003-4 He replaced Dan Perry during 2 winter tours.He also toured often with ZAFRAMOON(see link) .He was born in August 1966 in Clermont-Ferrand.He resides in the south west of France with his wife Virginie and their 5 children. He continues to play semi-professionally around his region of France

Jerome Armandie était un membre de MR SKIN/KWENZINI é¡ deux reprises.De 2001-2,et de 2003-4.Il a remplacé Dan Perry pendant 2 tournées d’hiver.Il a aussi tourné souvent avec ZAFRAMOON(voir link). Il est né en Aout 1966 é¡ Clermont-Ferrand.Il vit dans le sud-ouest de la France avec son épouse Virginie et leurs 5 enfants. Jerome remplace Daniel de temps en temps et continue de tourner à temps partiel dans sa region.

FRED YORK (DRUMS/BV’s)

Fred York played drums as a stand in for Philippe regularly in the 2007-8 and 2008-9 seasons in SXM. He is a noted jazz drummer much in demand on the island and a graduate of the Berklee Music College in the USA.He was born in 1974 and comes from a long line of noted musicians in Sint Maarten.He plays professionally in the Caribbean and continental Europe

Fred York a joué beacoup comme remplaé§ant de Philippe pendant la saison entiere de 2007-8 et 2 grandes parties de la saison 2008-9 é¡ SXM. Il est tres reputé et demandé comme batteur sur l’ile et il est un diplomé de Berklee aux Etats-Unis. Il est né en 1974 et fait partie d’une grande famille de musiciens.Il joue professionellement aux Antilles et en Europe continental.
