Considering the small room/stage and the lack of amps the band did well. I think we’re better off playing here in summer outside, or acoustically inside.
Quand on considère les restrictions de place et manque des amplis, le groupe a bien assuré. Je crois qu’on sera mieux dehors en été, et si on rejoue à l’intérieur ça doit être en version acoustique.

Excellent evening. Dancing and a very attentive public. We were pretty cramped into a side of the bar but we got our act together and everyone had a ball.
Excellente soirée. Les gens dansaient,ils étaient très attentifs et malgré la place assez restreinte on a réussi à bien jouer. Tout le monde s’est éclaté.

Played well here and there but there were also some dodgy moments. The people loved it. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great.
On a assez bien joué mais il y avait aussi les moments douteux> Les gens l’ont aimé beaucoup. Le repas était excellent et l’ambiance aussi.

After two previous postponements the Gargantua gig finally got going. I haven’t done a solo gig in many months and this evening showed me that I’m very rusty with some of the songs, mostly remembering lyrics.The sound wasn’t to great either To be expected after such a long lay-off. Most people didn’t realise it though, and the gig went down well. Lots of people.
Après être reportée à deux reprises,la soirée Gargantua a enfin eu lieu. Je n’ai pas joué une soirée solo depuis un bon moment et ce concert m’a montré que je suis bien rouillé en ce qui concerne le repertoire, notamment les paroles. Le son n’était pas au top non plus. Les gens n’en sont pas rendu compte et le concert s’est bien passé.Il y avait du monde.

Slow start, people more interested in catching up after the winter closure and watching football, later on it warmed up really well.
Lent à démarrer.Les gens plus intéressés à se revoir après un hiver, et de regarder le football. Plus tard ça a rechauffé.

First gig with Dgé went down very well.Very few mistakes and some good reception.Toulon is such a shitty place to find parking.I enjoyed the gig but not the get-in and get-out.
Premier concert avec Dgé était bien reçu. Très peu d’erreurs.Toulon est un cauchemar pour trouver du parking. La soirée m’a bien plus mais pas l’arrivé ni départ avec le matos.

Fairly routine gig. Nothing extraordinary.Not much interest around.The restaurant was open for the first night so most people were interested in the food.
Assez routine. Rien d’extraordinaire. Pas trop d’interêt des gens à cause de l’ouverture du restaurant donc c’était l’éstomac qui préoccupait les gens..

Dave Morris a.k.a MR SKIN was born in Manchester, UK in October 1956. He is the singer, guitariste and songwriter for the band “MAYA SOUL” and a solo artist in his own right. His former bands were THE APOCALYPSE CHOIR, THE ANSWER?(ANUTABU), and ZAFRAMOON. Interests outside of music are Astrology, Football (Manchester United fan) and sci-fi (a terminal trekkie/Stargate fan). MR SKIN and ZAFRAMOON in particular has toured most of Europe. Fluent in French,and some German.He has released 5 recorded projects. “Spirit Of Zaframoon(1996),”Drugs Or Religion?” (1999), “Once Upon A Time”(2010), “That Awkward Moment”(2015), and Jonah!(2018). A songwriter with over 230 songs completed so far, with lots figuring in the band repertoire. He plays most often a Gibson SG, a Fender Telecaster and sometimes on a DiArmand hollow body.Dave lives in the south of France and plays regularly both solo and band gigs in the Var area of the French Mediterranean.

Philippe is a core member of MR SKIN/KWENZINI. He was born in Chartres, France in March 1963.His hobbies include painting (see Gallery> Philippe Art). Previous bands:,MORGATH(France),PARANO(Ecuador) .Philippe appreciates classical music, especially Baroque Music and his musical influences include:The Who,Led Zeppelin, Bob Seger,ZZ Top,and Southern U.S. rock. Philippe is the backing vocalist in the band. His secondary role is to keep all the gear working.He is married to Isabelle, a French drama teacher.They live in the South of France. They have no children at present but Philippe has a son,Nans; from a previous marriage. He’s seen more often than not playing Rogers drums.Sometimes on a Premier kit. He is fluent in Spanish and speaks English as well, although not fluently.He met Dave in 1995 and joined the band ZAFRAMOON, touring with them during the winter of 1995/96 in the French Alps.After that season Philippe spent time in Ecuador playing music and running a restaurant before returning to France to join up with Dave and Daniel.In addition to playinf music Philippe takes care of lighting for the theatrical productions of his wife Isaballe (see links>L’Art Semeur)

Philippe est un grand amateur de musique classique et en particulier la musique Baroque Ancienne. Ses influences rock comprennent The Who, Led Zeppelin, Bob Seger et ZZ Top et d’autres groupes du sud des Etats-Unis. Philippe est le choriste du groupe. Son role secondaire dans le groupe est de maintenir le materiel electronique.Il est marié avec Isabelle, une prof de théatre; avec qui il habite dans le sud de la France. Ils n’ont pas d’enfants, mais Philippe a un fils, “Nans”, d’un mariage précédent.Il joue sur une batterie Rogers de préférence, mais aussi sur un kit “Premier”, Il parle Espagnol couramment et parle aussi l’Anglais, mais moins bien. Il rejoigna Dave en 1995 et partit avec le groupe “ZAFRAMOON” en tournée d’hiver dans les Alpes Frané§aises. Apres cette saison hivernale, il est parti en Equateur ou il a joué dans des groupes locaux et tenu un bar avant de rentrer en France et rejoindre Dave et Daniel.En dehors de la musique Philippe s’occupe de l’éclairage pour des pieces de theatre de sa femme Isabelle (voir links>L’Art Semeur)
Hubert Mollard played bass for the band between 2011 et 2013. .He also played bass with Dave in the duo ‘KINELL! He has finished music school and has previously been the drummer of the Lyon-based rock band “Legacy”.He left the band in September 2013 to concentrate on his drumming.He now tours all over France with a wedding band as their drummer.

Dan Perry (real name Daniel Péré) was the bassist of the band from 2000-2010. He was born in Marseille in June 1959. He continues playing music with the local SXM bands GTO and ROCKSTAR SOCIAL.
